Tattoo Aftercare

Caring for your new tattoo is pretty crucial for me, and every artist will have slightly different advice. In most cases, the goal is simply to speed up ideal healing and to prevent infection. For a more in depth guide, see my tips below.

Mulie method

I’ve discovered that the industrial green soap for tattooing still contains 30% alcohol. This will damage the skin tissues and lead to ink losses because rubbing alcohol usages is not for open wounds. In that thinking, I’ve mixed my personal’s all-natural green soap to prevent the color loss, less painful experiences and also I’m pretty much an artisanal hipster.

LEAVE YOUR SPECIAL TATU DERM’S BANDAGE ON FOR A MINIMUM OF 24 HOURS: Leave your bandage on for a minimum of 24 hours and no longer than 48 hours. Clean tattoo with provided Tatorigami green soap and pat dry with provided wipes or paper towel. Do not soak your tattoo in water, showers are fine.

APPLY A THIN FILM OF GIVEN VITAMINS A&D OINTMENT : 3 times per day for 2 weeks, clean tattoo before each application. Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo! DO NOT PICK OR SCRATCH ANY SCABBING: allow it to come off naturally. Scabbing usually flakes off in 7-10 days. Wear clean, loose clothing to protect tattoo while healing.

DO NOT: expose healing tattoo to sun, swimming, hot tub, sauna, unclean conditions, irritating clothing, extreme exercises, bungee jumping, karate, dungeon hunting, pillaging, fencing, angry mom or anything that may hinder healing.

ONCE TATTOO IS HEALED: Use high SPF sunblock when exposed to the sun. So you can continue on your silly adventures, salsa, bow hunting, riding a laser-eyed panther or whatever floats your goat, so yeah!.
